| An entertaining parody of the increasingly sophisticated acrobatic feats that Tunisians are forced to perform to obtain an entry visa to France. The latest imaginary law on immigration imposes a new test to pass: a dictation in French. The visa is obtained only if there are no mistakes. For poor Rachid this is the start of a forced immersion in the French language: programmes on French culture, music by Trenet and "nouvelle cuisine"... |

Am Salah, "Mister Average", is victim of a tasteless joke organized by a crew from the Tunisian television’s "candid camera". When this episode has been shown on TV, people make fun of him in the street and his life becomes such hell that he has to disguise himself to avoid being recognized. But one day, he is invited to the set of the program - and he turns the tables against the producers by telling the television pranksters a few uncomfortable home truths. |

A beautifully shot, largely silent account of a 30-year old girl named Farah, who, attempting to rid herself of attachment to a failed relationship - throws away a box of snapshots. In the course of this painfully difficult process, she is seen responding to a phonecall from another man – a man apparently keen on her affection. Cut to the girl and this man's married life: while he is phoning her from work, she is looking through the wardrobe, where – lo and behold – she discovers a box of snapshots very similar to her own, a relic of her husband's own premarital love life. |

Located in the popular quarter of Bab Souka in Tunis, the baths are said to have been built on the very spot where the ground opened up one day to swallow a beautiful, young creature, leaving visible only her splendid mane of hair. |

| "For as long as I can remember, on the occasion of the Islamic New Year’s day, my father never failed to bring home a number of sugar figurines…I was always fascinated by them, and very curious about the origins of this tradition exclusively kept in the town of Nabeul, but was never able to find satisfactory answers to my questions on the subject.” |
